Chantal (she/her)

Chantal | Registered Psychotherapist

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP). My expertise includes specialized training in DBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Imago Couples Therapy, and Brainspotting. I work with individuals and couples facing anxiety, BPD, complex trauma, bipolar disorder, attachment issues, divorce and co-parenting.

My professional journey has taken me across Canada, deepening my understanding of diverse mental health needs. Just as we attend to a broken bone with care, our mental well-being should be given equal priority rather than being stigmatized or ignored. Although it may not be visible or easily measured, mental health is just as crucial to our overall health and happiness. My academic background includes a Master’s of Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and degrees in Clinical Psychology and Medicine from Wayne State University and Saba University School of Medicine.

I approach therapy with a deep empathy rooted in my own experiences with trauma and mental illness. This perspective allows me to have a unique understanding and connection with my clients. I know firsthand the importance of having a guiding light out of darkness and fear, and I am dedicated to helping clients develop resilience and strength.

Based in Cambridge, Ontario, I value making a positive impact on the community through unique programs and initiatives. This includes partnering with local farms to offer Equine-Assisted Therapy and Virtual Reality Therapy, effective forms of treatment for anxiety, depression, PTSD, and trauma. I embrace both traditional and unconventional approaches, continuously seeking new methods to provide the best support for my clients.
