Welcome, I’m Abigail. My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported as you embark on your wellness journey. Throughout our sessions, we will develop a therapeutic relationship of trust, openness, and authenticity. I experienced firsthand the transformative power of a therapeutic relationship. This profound experience ignited a passion within me to help others discover the freedom counselling can offer. I noticed a shift in my mood and a decrease in negative thoughts such as shame, and guilt. Finally, I began treating myself as kindly as I treated my loved ones and learned about my core traits without self-judgement or a desire to change who I am. I began to find I started to love things about myself, giving myself the grace to make mistakes to find peace in the present moment and acceptance. My personal journey toward better mental health led me to gain experience with mindfulness, yoga and meditation while using physical movement and somatic work to enhance therapy.
As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP) I am passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges and discover or reconnect with their authentic selves. I offer in-person sessions in Cambridge and virtual therapy across Canada, using a collaborative and person-centred approach tailored to your needs. My practice integrates Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT),
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and somatic-based practices. I draw on trauma-informed, strengths-based principles to help quiet the mind, calm the body and restore a sense of control. My academic background includes a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.
If you’re ready to take the next step on your journey, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you. Please consider booking a free 15-minute consultation so we can connect, get to know each other, and answer any questions you may have about myself or the therapeutic process.
